What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry, we receive the details you enter in the linked Zoho form, including your contact details and the information in your message. We use them to assess and answer your request and, if you choose to proceed, to discuss possible services. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Please avoid submitting sensitive documents through the public form.
When you sign up for news and programme updates, we process your email address and consent choice to send those updates. The form requires an explicit consent decision and email confirmation. You can withdraw consent using the unsubscribe option or by contacting us.
Our hosting provider may process basic technical information, such as IP address and request logs, to deliver and protect the website. This processing supports our legitimate interest in operating a secure site.
Services and external links
Vercel hosts this website. Zoho Forms provides the enquiry and subscription forms. Microsoft 365 receives enquiry notifications and supports our email correspondence. Google Analytics measures website activity only if you allow analytics. With your optional permission, the contact page loads an embedded Google Map. Google may then receive technical information and set or read cookies. External sites linked from this website apply their own privacy notices.
Cookies and external media
We use a first-party cookie named advisory_cookie_choice to remember your privacy selection for up to 180 days. The embedded Google Map is off until you allow the optional external media category. You can reject it and still use the site or follow the separate directions link. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time. Withdrawing permission stops the map from loading on this site; cookies already placed by Google may need to be removed in your browser or Google settings.
If you allow the separate analytics category, we load Google Analytics (GA4) to understand page visits and interactions such as scrolling, outbound links, and file downloads. Google may receive your IP address, browser and device information, page addresses, and interaction events, and may set analytics cookies. We use the existing Advisory EU Google Analytics property to review aggregate website statistics. We do not send enquiry form contents to Google Analytics. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded before your permission, and choosing to withdraw it clears its first-party analytics cookies and reloads the page. You can change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. See Google’s privacy policy for information about Google’s processing. Vercel Web Analytics is not currently active.
Retention and sharing
We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting relationship or legal obligation. We retain newsletter details until you withdraw consent, subject to records needed to honour that choice. Our service providers process information for these purposes; information may also be disclosed where law requires it. Ask us for details of relevant retention periods, service-provider locations and any safeguards for transfers outside the EEA.
Your choices and rights
You may ask for access, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing before withdrawal. Write to info@advisoryeu.com. You may also complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija). We do not use the website forms to make automated decisions about eligibility for our services.
